2022 Chevy Silverado Interior

November 21st, 2021 by

The Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck has a reputation for durability, capability, and power. This popular truck received some significant updates for the 2022 model year, with changes both inside and out, but many of the changes are in the cabin. Pickup trucks are no longer basic transportation with low-quality materials and no extras, and the latest Silverado is proof of this. Take a look at the 2022 Silverado 1500 interior and everything you can get for your next ride.

The Silverado Updates

For the 2022 Chevy Silverado redesign, there’s an updated interior for the LT trim and up. The entry-level Work Truck, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss all stay the same, but the rest of the lineup has a new, more modern look in the cabin. Once you sit inside, you can’t miss the updated design of the dashboard. Its horizontal lines and sleek, low profile provide better visibility for the driver, and it opens up the cabin to give it a more spacious look and feel.

Along with the new dashboard design, you get updated tech and equipment in all of the Silverado trims, with each one offering something unique.

The Technology

The LT trim and up all get a new 13.4-inch touch-screen display that sits horizontally across the center of the new dashboard. This screen flows right into the new 12.3-inch digital instrument panel that sits in front of the driver. The updated driver information display is entirely digital and configurable, and Chevy designed the screens to tie right into the new horizontal lines of the dashboard for a sleek, modern look.

All the Chevy Silverado extended cab interiors that come equipped with front bucket seats will also feature a new center console and a new electronic shifter that looks almost like a throttle handle. This unique shifter replaces the traditional column shifter in previous generations.

The new large touch screen in the center of the Silverado’s dash takes technology to a new level by building Google right into the hardware. This means it has Google Assistant built right in, along with Google maps and the Google Play store. The system works with a wireless version of Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and Android Auto.

Cabin Comfort and Space

Chevy will offer the 2022 Silverado 1500 in the two-door regular cab with room for three, the four-door extended cab with room for up to six, and the four-door crew cab that also has room for six. The large Chevy Silverado Crew Cab interior is the most spacious of the Silverado’s three cab options and comes with full-size rear doors and a roomy rear seat with plenty of legroom, even if you have adult passengers in the back.

The 2022 Silverado still comes with all the comfort features you’ve come to expect with a Chevy truck. In the redesigned LT trim and up, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with 10 different positions, and heated front seats all come standard, and you also get a heated steering wheel in all of these models.

The LTZ adds a 10-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated rear seats, and a power-sliding rear window. Additional upgrades for the LTZ include ventilated front seats and upgraded leather upholstery.

The Safety Technology

Every 2022 Silverado offers a long list of available safety technologies. The Safety Package is optional for all trims and adds a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and front parking sensors. The LTZ and High Country offer the option for the Safety Package II. This package starts with all the features of the standard Safety Package and adds an adaptive cruise control system, lane-keep assist, and forward collision warning with mitigation.

There’s also the Technology Package for the LTZ and High Country. This adds a bed-view camera system, and it equips the Silverado with the equipment you need to add two trailer cameras. The Technology Package also comes with a 360-degree surround-view camera, a head-up display, and a rear camera mirror.

High Country Chevy Silverado Interior

The luxurious High Country stands out from the other trims not only because it becomes even more upscale with the 2022 model but also because of the added safety technology. In the cabin, Chevy gave it open-pore wood trim elements, and it comes standard with high-quality leather upholstery with exclusive stitching and custom-designed perforation. The High Country also has a Bose stereo system complete with stainless steel speaker grilles.

In addition to the advanced safety features you get with the rest of the Silverado lineup, the High Country will also come with the latest generation of GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. This hands-free driving system allows drivers to let the Silverado take over the driving on over more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads across the United States and Canada.

Super Cruise consists of systems such as adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and lane-centering. As long as the driver stays attentive, they can take their hands off the wheel while Super Cruise uses real-time positioning cameras, LiDar map data, and sensors to detect curves, keeping the Silverado in its lane. The system controls the acceleration and braking when enabled and will maintain a set gap between you and the vehicle ahead.

ZR2 Trim Interior Features

The new ZR2 trim is the big news for the 2022 Silverado. It’s the first year that Chevy offers the model, and it sits at the top of the lineup with off-road extras and more. This new trim has the same modern interior as the rest of the lineup and comes with lots of exterior features to make it the most off-road-ready Silverado available.

The ZR2 comes factory lifted and comes with Multimatic DSSV dampers and more suspension travel than any of the other off-road versions of the Silverado.
