2024 Chevy Equinox EV Interior, Range, Exterior & More

Automakers are starting to release more and more electrified versions of their current vehicles or all-new vehicles with electric power, giving you more choice than ever before. Chevrolet has introduced the first-ever all-electric Equinox, an electric vehicle (EV) set to be available in the fall of 2023. This small crossover SUV is capable, confident, and made for everyday driving. Our Cochran Chevrolet sales team invites you to discover the Chevy Equinox EV’s interior, range, exterior, and more. Here’s what we know so far about the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV.

Available Trims

Close-up of an electric car charging station with a car plugged inThe 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EVwill be sold in five trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 2RS, 3LT, and 3RS. The 1LT will roll down the road on 19-inch wheels, while the 2LT will also come with roof rails. The 2RS’s 20-inch dark aero wheels will give it a unique appearance. You’ll find 21-inch aluminum wheels on the 3LT and flashier 21-inch dark aero wheels on the 3RS. The 2RS and 3RS will also feature a black-painted grille panel and lower fascia with sporty flow-through rocker molding.

The Equinox EV will be available in several eye-catching exterior colors: Summit White, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Sterling Silver Gray Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Red Hot, Galaxy Gray Metallic, Riptide Blue Metallic Summit White, and black. You’ll also get walk-up lighting and front and rear lighting animations with flush door handles to enhance its sleek lines. The exterior styling adds futuristic touches to the traditional crossover design for a bold, athletic design that’ll be guaranteed to turn heads as you pass by on the road.

Power, Performance, and Range

Each trim level of the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV, from the base-level 1LT to the top-of-the-line 3RS, will have the same standard power source. A single motor will deliver 210 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque. The Equinox EV will also be available in all-wheel drive, featuring dual motors that offer 290 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque. Chevy plans to use the Ultium Platform to offer various driving and performance insights on the Equinox EV. GM estimates that the Equinox EV will get a 300-mile range on a full charge, keeping you on the road for longer between charges.

Regen on Demand and One Pedal Driving will convert the energy used into stored energy in the battery when you enable this on the Equinox EV. You’ll be able to charge at home with a standard 120-volt outlet or the standard 11.5 kWh 240-volt Level 2 (AC) charging station, adding up to 34 miles of range per hour of charging. The 3RS will also offer a 19.2 kWh Level 2 (AC) charging module. You’ll be able to stop at various DC Fast Charging stations to get 70 miles of range with a 10-minute charge when you’re on the go.

Using the Energy Assist app, you’ll be able to locate over 40,000 public charging stations, plan the most efficient routes, or pay for charging from your phone. The app is available through the App Store or Google Play. GM’s Ultifi software will ensure your Equinox EV stays personalized and functioning with over-the-air updates.

You’ll get near-instantaneous torque on the 2024 Equinox EV, making it fun to drive. With a zero-to-60 time of six seconds on the electric all-wheel drive, this electric crossover will have plenty of power to get you to the front of the pack. You can also enjoy the available Super Cruise, which enables hands-free driving on over 400,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada. A hands-free start system will allow your Equinox EV to sense your presence and start your vehicle automatically when you have your key fob on you.

2024 Equinox Interior Design

Sliding behind the wheel of the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV, you’ll find a roomy interior featuring 57 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat stowed. The 1LT will feature an 11-inch driver information center and an 11-inch touch screen. The 2LT adds a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and an optional 17.7-inch touchscreen. On the 3LT, you’ll get a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, and heated rear outboard seats. The 2RS and 3RS trade-up for a heated flat-bottom steering wheel and an available Adrenaline Red interior theme.

Additional features will vary by trim level and include dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, an onboard Wi-Fi hot spot, in-dash navigation, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Arriving safely at your destination is paramount, and Chevrolet is adding a plethora of standard and available safety and driver-assistance features to the 2024 Equinox EVto help make that happen. You’ll get Chevy Safety Assist standard on all trim levels. This suite of features includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, and Intellibeam auto high beams.

You’ll also get reverse automatic braking on the Equinox EV, which is a new technology that’s designed to alert you or automatically apply the brakes to help you avoid collisions with vehicles or objects behind you when reversing. The advanced airbag system will deploy during a collision to help protect you and your passengers.

Expected Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)

Chevrolet still needs to release the MSRP for each trim level of the 2024 Equinox EV. Car and Driver estimates the following based on information Chevy has shared:

  • 1LT: $30,000. Available spring 2024.
  • 2LT: $34,000. Available spring 2024.
  • 3LT: $37,000. Available spring 2024.
  • 2RS: $40,000. Available fall 2023.
  • 3RS: $44,000. Available spring 2024.

The 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will qualify for the Inflation Reduction Plan’s $7,500 EV tax credit, which has been extended to December 2032.
