2024 Chevrolet Silverado Trim Levels and Styles

Along with the introduction of a Silverado electric vehicle (EV), nine Silverado models are available for 2024: the Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2, and High Country. The Silverado and Silverado HD offer Regular, Double, and Crew Cab variants.

Engine Choices

The 1500-size Silverado’s base engine is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Available engine options include a 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, a 3.0-liter six-cylinder Duramax Turbo-Diesel with 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque, and a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

The Silverado HD does not use the 2.7-liter option, 5.3-liter V-8, or 3.0-liter Duramax. In their places, the 2500 and 3500 offer a 6.6-liter Duramax engine and an equal-sized diesel alternative. These appear as choices on every trim, for both the 2500 and 3500, but engine availability is more diverse with the 1500. Check the full 2024 Chevy trim level differences below.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado WT

The WT is the basic 2024 Silverado and the HD models (2500 and 3500). This version has black mirror caps, halogen headlamps, incandescent tail lamps with stop and reverse lights, a side bed step, a locking tailgate with available EZ Lift, black outside vertical trailering mirrors, LED reflector headlights, and 17-inch Ultra Silver coated steel wheels.

Rear-wheel drive, with optional four-wheel drive, links to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Engines options for the WT include the 5.3-liter V-8 and the 2.7-liter four-cylinder.

Custom and Custom Trail Boss

The Silverado Custom trim is more flexible for adventuring, adding several upgrades over the WT. It switches the wheels to 20-inch alloys, adding heated side mirrors, a trailering package, cruise control, SiriusXM radio, a 10-way power driver seat, and the EZ Lift tailgate. Silverado 1500 Custom models use the 2.7-liter engine, like the WT.

The Custom Trail Boss is nearly identical but swaps 18-inch High Gloss Black painted wheels, heavy-duty mud tires, and an extra 2-inch suspension lift. Going for a Custom Trail Boss makes the 5.3-liter V-8 and the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel available.

LT and LT Trail Boss

Stepping up a little further, the LT appeals to purchasers searching for a comfortable daily vehicle that can also manage towing and hauling. This trim also carries a unique dash design and an overall street-ready look. Inside, you’ll get a heated steering wheel and front seats, keyless entry and push-start, Google functions, and a 13.4-inch touch screen. Dual-zone automatic climate control and a 12.3-inch configurable digital cluster are also standard. You can choose the for the 2.7-, 5.3-, or 3.0-liter engines for the 2024 Silverado 1500 LT.

The LT Trail Boss is similar, but the also unlocks access to the 6.2-liter engine. It also adds a 2-inch factory suspension elevation, Autotrac two-speed transfer case, and automatic locking rear differential. It also gets 18-inch High Gloss Black painted rims with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac mud-terrain tires to increase its off-road prowess.

RST

The “Rally Sport Truck,” or RST, trim is fashionable and track-inspired, a great package for those seeking track driving and style upgrades. The RST package gives the entire Silverado 1500 lineup a stylish appearance, adding LED fog lamps, a 3.23:1 rear axle ratio, body-colored bumpers, and LED taillights. Double Cab models come standard with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, while Crew Cabs have a 5.3-liter V-8. You can get an RST 1500 with the 3.0 Duramax or 6.2-liter engines, as well.

LTZ

The LTZ shifts the Silverado into something resembling a luxury SUV. Silverado LTZ 1500 models are suitable with any engines except the 2.7-liter. You’ll get an in-vehicle trailering app, hitch view, LED fog lights and taillights, perforated leather-appointed front seating, and 10-way power front seats. You can also get up to eight parking and safety cameras with up to 14 views and the full Chevy Safety Assist suite.

ZR2

Offering the same engine availability as the LTZ, the ZR2 is on a similar level of luxury as the High Country, but with black detailing and a shortened front bumper, lifting the approach angle. The ZR2 is an upper-end off-roading trim, with convenient features like a removable front bumper and exclusive electronic locking front and rear axles.

High Country

The High Country is one of the most lavish and feature-rich Chevrolet Silverado trim levels. The 2024 Silverado HD ups the ante on the High County’s grandeur with a new Nightshift Blue interior and jet black and umber design accents. Real open-pore wood trim highlights the doors and top glove box, while opulent fabric trims the seats and door panels. The High Country uses the 6.2-liter engine only, as well as only four-wheel drive in the Crew Cab configuration.

Packages

You can choose from various packages beyond the trim level when shopping for a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado or another model. By choosing from a variety of interior, exterior, performance, or technology options, you’ll be able to tailor your 2024 truck to suit your needs.

The popular Z71 Sport Edition, Z71 Chrome Sport Edition, Midnight Special Edition cosmetic packages, and the Alaskan Snow Plough Special Edition are still available on the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD. Each brings an exciting twist on the usual exterior and interior build. Then there’s the Silverado 1500’s Rally Edition, Midnight Edition, Redline Edition, Blackout Appearance package, and many work and performance packages. Bonuses such as the High Country Deluxe, Technology, or Z71 Off-Road packages expand what you might typically get with a 2024 Silverado trim level.
